The Tangalooma Wrecks, which are located just
north of the resort, offers sheltered diving and
snorkeling around dredges and barges that were sunk 35
years ago to create a breakwater for boat anchorage in
the area. Since that time many species of temperate and
tropical fish life have come to live amongst the hard
coral, which has grown on the wrecks.
This is a truly spectacular experience with a myriad
of fish to swim amongst. You can join a tour from the
resort or walk or drive to the Wrecks from your Island Dream
Home. If you have your own snorkel bring it along or you
can hire them from the resort.
